Privacy Policy

Tapestry is built by AMS Global Ventures, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). We believe your relationships are nobody's business but yours. This policy explains how we handle your data — the short version is: we don't want it.
Our Core Principles
- Local-first. Your data lives on your device by default. We don't require cloud sync to use Tapestry.
- Zero message content. We never transmit, store, or process the content of your messages. Period.
- No selling data. We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
- Encrypted cloud sync. Pro users who opt into cloud sync get end-to-end encryption. We cannot read your synced data.
What We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account information: Email address and name when you create an account.
- Payment information: Processed securely by our payment provider (Stripe). We never store your card details.
- Waitlist: If you sign up for the beta, we collect your email address.
Information Processed Locally
Tapestry processes the following data entirely on your device:
- Contact information from your address book
- Message metadata (timestamps, participants — never content)
- Calendar event metadata
- Call history metadata
- Relationship scores and network analysis
This data is used to generate your network graph, relationship health scores, and insights. It is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly opt into cloud sync.
Cloud Sync (Pro — Optional)
If you enable cloud sync, your relationship metadata is encrypted on your device before transmission. We use end-to-end encryption, meaning we cannot read your synced data. Cloud sync can be disabled at any time, and you can request deletion of all cloud-stored data.
Analytics
We collect minimal, anonymized usage analytics to improve the product (e.g., which features are used, crash reports). We do not use analytics to track your social graph or relationship data.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve Tapestry
- To send you product updates and beta access notifications (if you signed up)
- To process payments (Pro and Teams plans)
- To respond to support requests
Data Retention
Local data is retained on your device until you delete the app or clear its data. Cloud-synced data is retained until you disable sync or request deletion. Account data is retained until you delete your account.
Your Rights
You can:
- Export all your data at any time from the app
- Delete your cloud-synced data at any time
- Delete your account and all associated data
- Use Tapestry entirely offline with no data leaving your device
Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Stripe for payment processing
- Formspree for waitlist form submissions
- GitHub Pages for hosting this website
Changes to This Policy
We'll notify you of significant changes via email or in-app notification. Minor changes will be posted here with an updated date.
